What’s the best grind for my magic beans? 

Grind size ultimately impacts the coffee’s taste once it comes into contact with water. How fine or course the  beans are ground determines the strength of your coffee by how quickly the water passes through them.

Course grind is a large coffee grind, usually for brew methods that involve immersion in water.

Medium grind is a sandy-textured coffee grind-one of the most popular grinds.

Fine grind is a silky grind that packs together well and the perfect choice for espresso machines.

As well as the stock standard grinds, you also have your Medium-Course and Medium-Fine. Which are, quite simply, a grind in between their name sake’s suggestion!

Why not always use a fine grind to extract more flavour? Not always ideal when it comes to making certain brews. Different methods & systems work better for different  grinds. BUT personal taste will win the argument in the end.
