  • Simply wet the animals coat with water and apply Quit-Itch as per the directions on the bottle.
  • For wounds: As an emergency treatment for lacerations, abrasions, wire cuts and burns. Dab the wound with cotton wool or gauze soaked with undiluted QUIT-ITCH. Repeat daily for 3-4 days.
  • For skin diseases: Clean effected area with a solution of 1 part of Quit-Itch to 20 parts warm water. Towel dry and apply undiluted Quit-Itch liberally to the effected areas. Repeat daily for 3-4 days.
  • All over shampoo: Fungal ringworm and Eczema spread rapidly and in both instances animals should be thoroughly washed all over to prevent spread of infection. Use a solution of 1 part Quit-Itch to 20 parts warm water. Rub well into the coat and allow the foam to remain for 5 minutes. Rinse, dry and apply undiluted Quit-Itch to infected and surrounding areas.
  • Environmental exposure: horses that have been in contact or have used the same equipment as an infected horse should also be thoroughly shampooed with diluted Quit-Itch daily until the infection is cleared from the stable. This also applies to dogs kept in kennels.
  • Greasy heel in horses: Most importantly, remove scabs that are indicative of infected heels. Use a solution of 1 part Quit-Itch to 20 parts of warm water. Rub vigorously to soften and remove scabs. Thoroughly dry and rub undiluted Quit-Itch into effected areas twice daily until heels are completely free of infection.
